Advanced Energy Minerals
Gulf Minerals Pty Limited (Gulf) is a privately owned, Australian based, mineral exploration and development company. Advanced Energy Minerals is a registered trade mark of Gulf.
The Company owns three large kaolin deposits in Cape York peninsula, located in far north Queensland.
Kaolin, an industrial minerals, is a pure white clay, traditional used in the China Clay, ceramics industry and for paper making. However, Gulfs kaolin is especially suitable as a feed stock for the production of High Purity Alumina (HPA). HPA is used by high growth markets, including the LED, semiconductor and lithium ion battery sectors.
RECENT PROJECT
Kendall River Kaolin (KRK) HPA Project
The Company proposes using a hydrochloric acid leaching and precipitation process to produce High Purity Alumina (HPA) from fine particle kaolin mined from within its wholly owned kaolin deposits in Cape York.
The Kendall Kaolin Project ( the Project) comprises a Mineral Development License, a Mining Lease Application and six Exploration Permits for Minerals, that cover an area of over 182,000 hectares, on the west of Cape York in Northern Queensland.
Gulf has fast-tracked development of the Project. Over the last 12 months we have made significant progress developing the project.

FEATURED PRODUCT
High Purity Alumina
HPA is an extremely pure form of aluminium oxide. It has become a strategically important speciality mineral, which commands premium prices.
HPA is used to produce synthetic sapphires, which are essential for the manufacture of components used in LED’s, semiconductors and “state of the art” optical devices. HPA also has unique physical and chemical properties critical for phosphor compounds and advanced ceramic coatings.
HPA and synthetic sapphires are used in many disruptive, high growth technologies. These high growth rates are forecast to continue over the medium to long term. Purity determines demand, price and application. The Company is targeting the 4N and 5N HPA markets.
